I think of her often... using her mortar and pestle to grind the rose petals into a fine powder and extracting the strawberry essence by crushing the berries, then wisking everything together into a fluffy luxurious cream. How long did it take her? Were the rose petals from her garden? Was it a chore, or did she enjoy the process?
