Replying to @annnnuuh Edit: A lot of people are commenting not to heat the pan on highest heat because of risk of warping the pan, from my research it is ok to do so, you just cant leave it on high for long for that increases the risk. Medium high is what most people have been recommending. I’ve been trying to switch entirely from nonstick pans so there had to be a learning curve, this is what finally worked for me. My sister had a either an electric/induction cooktop and her stainless steel pans never got quite hot enough to become nonstick. Probably depends on the stove.
