What you see here is the place where I work, specifically the training department. 1. This is the Deck Upgrading Area, where we assess the seafarer if he is capable to perform his duty of his next rank. For example, AB with OIC-NW, aspiring 3M, he needs to show he is capable, knowledgeable and can perform his duties onboard. If he passes the final assessment, he can join as third mate. 2. This is the Engine Upgrading Area, same function as the deck dept. 3. Practical Seamanship is taught here. 4. This is the In-house training Room and PDOS or pre-departure orientation seminar rm. 5.
