I wanted an EPIC birthday... With my life centered around adventures, I wanted to make this one unforgettable. This past year was monumental. I've been dreaming about alpine BASE jumping for years—the ability to climb and leap from the tops of mountains where the Gods live. This summer, I achieved amazing feats like tackling Europe's tallest exit and completing the world's longest BASE jump wingsuit flight. There were moments of doubt, but with my teammate @valentin.palardy, we conquered our goals one step at a time, proving that the sky's the limit when you're dedicated. Yesterday, I turned 42. After such a big year, I wanted to kick off 42 with a bang. Without revealing too much, let's just say this year will involve two new continents and the start of our documentary filmmaking dreams. Birthdays only come once a year, so it HAS to be special The crew (toochkoff & mountainmanbase) and I decided to gather friends from around the world and meet in Switzerland to BASE jump from a dam I've dreamed of jumping off for years. Everything seemed to conspire against us—washed-out roads, long hikes, and looming bad weather. But after four grueling hours, we reached the base of the dam. The realization hit me as the hair on the back of my neck stood up; soon, I would be standing with my toes over the edge of a 700-foot concrete wall. This might actually happen. We geared up, climbed the railing with zero wind, and knew we were at the point of no return. With birthday wishes echoing from the team and somebody holding the @insta360 X4 camera over the edge to capture the shot, we counted down. Three, two, one...
