Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana 🥖 Ingredients: 1 lb ground Italian sausage, hot 1 tbsp butter 1 yellow onion, diced 1 tbsp minced garlic 1 tsp hot sauce (I used cholula) 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp mustard powder 1 tsp parsley 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp basil Red pepper flakes (optional) 3 tbsp flour 5 cups chicken broth 1 cup heavy cream 1 lb russet potatoes, diced 3 cups kale, chopped 5 strips bacon, chopped for garnish (optional) 1️⃣ Preheat a large soup pot and add in sausage. Cook and break apart. Once finished, remove sausage from pot and set aside. Leave the extra grease in the pot 2️⃣ Add butter to the pot, melt and add in the onions. Cook over medium heat until the onions soften 3️⃣ Add in the minced garlic, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, parsley, oregano, and basil. Mix and cook for 1 minute 4️⃣ Add in flour and stir until it is mixed in completely 5️⃣ Add in chicken broth and stir continuously. Add in the heavy cream and stir continuously again. Bring to a boil and then turn heat to low-medium 6️⃣ Add in potatoes and sausage. Simmer for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Then add in kale and stir.
