CEO LOC JOURNEY UPDATE: I’ve had natural curly hair all my life and it was a lot to manage 😭 That’s why I started Alysium Beauty in the first place. I struggled to find products that worked for my hair which was dry and brittle despite trying countless routines and styles. I began mixing my own formulas in my mum’s kitchen in South London and eventually found what worked. For years I kept my hair loose and natural but as my brand grew so did the demands on my time. Managing my hair’s length texture and the maintenance it needed was a full on commitment. I just didn’t have the time to keep up while running a growing brand and living my life but I still wanted to embrace my natural hair without always having it in braids. I wanted it to stay healthy and well cared for🪴 That’s when I turned to locs. Just over a year ago I decided to start locing my hair and it was the perfect way to keep my hair natural and simplify my routine 🙌🏽 With my loc spray and hair growth oil my locs have become thick, healthy and beautifully moisturised 💧 Sometimes I miss the versatility of my loose curls but I don’t regret locing my hair one bit.
