They do NOT keep your hands warm, but they do keep them dry. Cold, wet hands is the quikest way to end a fishing day. Your hands get wet from handling your line. Then add in handling a fish, your wet & cold hands dont recover from that. So I wear nitrile gloves to keep them dry. I wear them under wool gloves, who h keep them warm. And YES, I can tie my flies with them on. If surgeons can tue knits with them in surgery, we can tie knots with them. If weather doesnt stop you from fishing, you’re a die hard like me. Im not pushing gear on you, but im giving away my secrets on how i can stand in 32.9°F water, while its 6°F out. Heated socks are a life saver for my toes. I put these on, then throw another oair of wool socks over top. I then wear pants, plus obviously my waders. Its hard for me to reach down to my socks and change the setting. Having an app that controls it, is super convenient. You know me by now, im all about being efficient on the water so I have more time to fish. The one thing that can end your day early are cold toes. Not anymore.
