Pozole Rojo Ingredients 1 bottle chicken broth 2-3 L water 1/2 onion 1 head of garlic 3-4 bay leaves 2-3 tbsp salt 3 chicken breast 10-12 chile guajillos 3-4 chile anchos 2 chile pequin 3-4 garlic cloves 1/4 onion 1 tbsp chicken boullion cumin pepper oregano vegetable oil 1 can of Hominy 3 cups of broth Directions *before we start off, I just want to say that I didnt use the exact recipe as the book in the background, however it did guide me with the steps because i’ve never made red pozole before. I trust myself & my tastebuds to make my own salsa for the pozole**** 1. In a big pot, add your chicken broth & water. Let it come to a boil before adding your onion, head of garlic, bay leaves, salt, & chicken breast. Cover & cook for about 1 hours. (if there is white stuff that comes to top, just take it off with a spoon!) 2. In a small sauce pan, add water + your chiles. simmer on low for about 15-20 mins 3. Once done, add it into a blender with onion, garlic, seasonings, & chicken broth. blend until smooth 4. In a medium sauce pan, add oil and let it heat up before adding your salsa. Let it cook on low for about 15 mins, mix so it doesn’t burn. 5. Once chicken is done, shred it & wash your hominy before adding both into the pot. Add your salsa (I recommend straining it, i don’t have one so I didn’t) Simmer on med-low for about 15-20 mins. Let it come to a boil and serve. 6. Replying to @𝚔𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚊 ᥫ᭡ Here is the recipe! For more in depth video, I used @Mariam cinnamon roll recipe :) Yeast Mixture: 3/4 C warm water 2 1/2 Tsp active dry yeast 1 tbsp sugar Cover & let it rise for 10 mins Dough: In a bowl, add 3 c AP flour, 1/3 C sugar, 1 egg + 1 egg yolk (already whisked), 4 tbsp melted butter, 1 tsp kosher salt, & yeast mixture. (add the yeast mixture in last) Place your dough onto a lightly floured surface & knead for about 8-10 mins or until smooth. Take your dough & add it to a lightly floured bowl. Cover & rest for 1 1/2 hr-2 hrs. It should double. Punch the air out and take it out of the bowl. Roll out your dough (not too thin), add your filling filling: 1 C brown sugar, 2 tbsp cinnamon, 2 tsp pumpkin spice, 1/3 C butter—room temp.. Roll your dough tightly, cut your cinnamon rolls, (should be about 8), add it to your tray. Cover & let it rest for 30 mins. Once done add, 1 tbsp of heavy cream to each roll and any leftover sugar you have on top. Bake at 350F 25-30 mins. Once baked, add your cream cheese frosting. Frosting: 5 oz cream cheese—room temp, 3 tbsp butter—room temp, 1 tsp vanilla, 3/4 C powdered sugar, 1/2 C pumpkin puree, & 2 tsp coffee creamer Enjoy! #fallrecipes #autumn #pumpkinspice #pumpkinspiceseason #dessert #cinnamonroll #cinnamonrollrecipe
