Searching in a remote part of the American Southwest on Google Earth led me to discovering a spectacularly strange canyon, containing traces of humans that seems to defy explanation. I decided to backpack here for several days, and what I found on the second day took my breath away, and convinced me that there may have been people here for a very, very long time.
