Its #trendingtuesday and @Alexa Santos is making this Puff Pastry Breakfast Crunchwrap inspired by @Calvin 🍳🥓 Ingredients: -4 strips bacon -2 frozen hash browns -3 eggs, divided -splash milk -cooking spray -kosher salt -1 sheet puff pastry, cut in half -3 slices American cheese Directions: -Preheat oven to 425F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place the bacon on it. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove bacon and set aside on a paper towel lined plate. -Line an additional baking sheet with foil and place the hash browns on it. Bake for 10 minutes, flip, and bake for 10 minutes more. Leave oven on. -In a bowl, whisk 2 of the eggs, plus milk. Heat cooking spray in a nonstick pan over medium, then pour in the eggs. Stir and scramble the eggs until almost set. Season with a pinch of kosher salt and remove from the heat. -Lay the puff pastry out. On one of the halves, lay down the American cheese. Top that with the cooked eggs, cooked bacon, and cooked hash browns. -Whisk the remaining egg in a small bowl with a splash of water. Use a pastry brush to paint a layer off egg wash around the outside rim of the puff pastry. Fold the other half of puff pastry over the top, and use a fork to crimp the edges together. -Move the puff pastry to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the remaining egg wash over the top. INGREDIENTS: 2 tablespoons softened butter, divided 4 large eggs 4 tablespoons heavy cream, divided 4 tablespoons goat cheese with herbs, divided flaky sea salt, to taste freshly cracked black pepper, to taste 2 tablespoons chili oil 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped 2 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped toasted bread, for serving RECIPE: 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spread softened butter all over the bottoms and sides of two ramekins. Crack two eggs into each ramekin. Split the cream and herbed goat cheese in half and add into each ramekin. 2. Place the ramekins into a high-sided baking dish. Pour about 4 cups of boiling water into the baking dish, until it reaches about halfway up the sides of the ramekins. If your ramekins have lids, put them on. If not, cover the entire baking dish with foil. 3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the eggs reach your desired level of doneness. If you want runny yolks, jiggle the ramekins a bit to check the doneness - they should look slightly set but still jiggly. 4. Once eggs are done, remove the lids from the ramekins and season with salt and pepper. Top with chili oil, chives, and sun-dried tomatoes.
