I got told this a lot because I didn’t express or give my babies bottles. I didn’t want to leave them and was happy breastfeeding so it just felt like a huge hassle. I had friends who spent weeks trying every different sort of bottle teat, getting dad to feed and getting really worked up because their baby wouldn’t take a bottle “just in case”. A few people suggested I was being selfish not trying to give my baby a bottle and that it could do her harm. But I’m calling that as utter rubbish! 💩 In the very unlikely event that you as an exclusively breastfeeding mother were ill and couldn’t be with your baby they’re not going to be left to starve to death. They can be spoon fed, cup fed, or syringe fed and realistically they will end up taking a bottle from another person at this point if needed too. Babies don’t starve themselves.
