✨PASTINA CARBONARA🍝 To be honest, pastina just came into my life a few years ago and now that it’s here, I couldn’t imagine life without a cozy buttery bowl of pastina! This recipe isn’t quite the traditional pastina that Taylor’s family eats, but it’s a combo of two creamy things I love— pastina and carbonara 😌 ⚡️2 cups chicken broth, I used bone broth ⚡️1/2 cup pastina ⚡️1 tsp pancetta fat ⚡️2oz pancetta (traditionally guanciale is used, but this is all I could get my hands on) ⚡️~1oz pecorino, more for garnishing ⚡️1/2 tsp black peppercorns In a pot, add your broth and bring it to a boil. Add pastina and reduce to a simmer until broth is mostly absorbed and pastina is cooked. Turn off heat. Toast your peppercorns for a few minutes and crush with a mortar and pestle. Cook your pancetta and drain over a bowl and sieve, reserving 1 tsp of pancetta fat. In a bowl, mix together pecorino cheese, egg yolks, black pepper, and pancetta fat.
