A little update from yesterday’s story. I had the chance to speak to Kerman Mayor Maria Pacheco who confirmed that this fundraiser in fact raised over $10,000! The money will go towards the families’ expenses including sending their relatives back to Mexico to be laid to rest. 3 of the 7 bodies have been sent back to the states of Jalisco, Michoacán, and Sinaloa. The other 4 are waiting to be sent to Guerrero, Mexico. Mayor Pacheco also confirmed that the proceeds will also benefit the medical expenses of the one farm worker who was gravely injured in the crash. #Kerman #Community #News #Update #559 #CentralValley #fyp #localnews #madera
