A little update from yesterday’s story. I had the chance to speak to Kerman Mayor Maria Pacheco who confirmed that this fundraiser in fact raised over $10,000! The money will go towards the families’ expenses including sending their relatives back to Mexico to be laid to rest. 3 of the 7 bodies have been sent back to the states of Jalisco, Michoacán, and Sinaloa. The other 4 are waiting to be sent to Guerrero, Mexico.
