A realistic medical trip from the tiny community I live in to Whitehorse includes: 🌿 obviously medical appointments 🌿 groceries 🌿 meetings 🌿 meals (with friends!) 🌿 errands 🌿 vehicle needs 🌿 and more! It’s a definite whirlwind! When I was first diagnosed with a myeloproliferative neoplasm, I thought I might have to move out of this community. I worried that a serious diagnosis would limit my ability to live remotely.
