Weight is simply ONE single metric that we can track to keep us heading in the right direction. Let’s take two individuals who are both the same height: Individual A - Weighs 150 pounds and currently sits at 40% body fat Individual B - Weighs 150 pounds and sits at 17% body fat And before we go any further, no muscle does not weigh more than fat. They weigh the same. However muscle will be the thing that shapes your body which is why it’s important to build and keep as much muscle as possible while in a weight loss phase. Person A will look drastically different than person B simply by the ratio of their body fat to muscle. Person B will fit in much smaller clothes, show off muscle definition and be able to do a lot more physical activity. But they weigh the same. This is exactly why at a certain point weight doesn’t really matter. What matters more is how you feel, how your clothes fit, your quality of life and your health.
