Family, friends, and our incredible community of supporters, We’re reaching out with an important update on our brave little warrior, Nathan. As some of you know, Nathan has been facing significant challenges with bowel obstructions, which have led to multiple hospital stays and treatments. Tomorrow, at 2:15 p.m., we’re scheduled for a comprehensive care conference with all of Nathan’s doctors. The aim is to discuss the ongoing issues with his bowel obstructions and to explore all possible avenues for his care. This includes considering if the obstructions are symptomatic of a larger underlying issue, whether surgical intervention might be necessary, or if his symptoms suggest his gut may be struggling more broadly. One of the key topics will be the potential for installing a Mediport for Nathan. This would allow us to manage his nutrition and any necessary treatments directly at home, whenever he needs to rest his bowels, rather than through prolonged hospital stays. We are hopeful that this meeting will provide us with a clearer path forward and more tools to manage Nathan’s condition as effectively as possible. Your thoughts, prayers, and support have been our anchor through these stormy times, and we’re deeply grateful for each one of you. As we find ourselves in the hospital once again with our brave little warrior, Nathan, we wanted to share an update with all of you, who have become an extended family to us. In late January, Nathan faced his second bowel obstruction, a challenging complication we’ve navigated before. After nearly two weeks in the hospital, we thought we had overcome this hurdle. Yet, here we are, on March 7th, back in familiar territory as Nathan battles another obstruction. These moments are never easy, filled with worry and uncertainty, but Nathan continues to show us the strength of a giant in the body of a little hero. His resilience amid these trials is nothing short of inspiring. This isn’t just a medical battle; it’s an emotional rollercoaster that we’re all on together. Each trip back to the hospital, each unexpected challenge, takes a piece of our hearts but also reinforces our resolve to fight, to hope, and to never give up. We share these moments not to seek sympathy, but to show the reality of our situation, the strength it demands, and the love that carries us through.
