A special meal that will blow your mind 🤯 have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner! #plantbased #chickenandwaffles #hotjiang #chilioil #maplesyrup FRIED MUSHROOMS AND WAFFLES SAVORY WAFFLES 2 Tbsp ground flaxseeds 1 cup plant based milk 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 2 Tbsp baking powder 1/2 cup melted vegan butter 2 Tbsp Hot Jiang chili oil FRIED MUSHROOMS ⅓ cup ground flaxseeds 1 cup sparkling water 1 cup flour 1 tsp corn starch Salt and pepper 2 tsp Onion Powder 2 tsp Garlic Powder 2 tsp smoked paprika 2 Portobello Mushrooms Oil for frying CHILI OIL MAPLE SYRUP 1/4 cup maple syrup 4 Tbsp Hot Jiang chili oil 1. MAKE THE WAFFLES preheat waffle maker and spray or brush lightly with oil. In a large bowl, whisk together all the Savory Waffle ingredients until just combined. Ladle batter into the iron and cook until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter. 2. MAKE FLAX EGG in a medium bowl, combine ground flaxseed meal and sparkling water. Whisk and set to the side for a few minutes to thicken. 3. DEEP FRY MUSHROOMS in another medium bowl, combine flour and seasonings. In a skillet, heat three inches of oil to 375º F. Dredge mushrooms in the wet flax egg and then the seasoned flour and fry until golden brown, flipping halfway. About 4-6 minutes each side. 4.
