Replying to @Empty Nest RxX Thank you for sharing. I'd like to also share mine and my experience with this book...The healing journey is certainly... a journey. Even as a psychiatric registered nurse, I still struggle with PTSD, panic attacks, and generalized anxiety disorder and every day is a continuous healing process. Not only do I feel it up there, I also feel it in my body. Feeling dissociated, or that "out of body experience", heart racing, sweating, muscle tension, tingling, lightheadedness, are some of the things one may feel from being in an anxious, panicked state or being triggered from ptsd. To be able to help others, I realized I also still need to help myself. Some of the exercises in this self help book have helped me cope with these sensations, these uncomfortable feelings that I feel when I'm in an anxious or panicked state. It's helpful to know that these are my experiences alone and I can't speak on others' behalf, no one can ever know how another one feels. And this book can not and should not replace psychiatric professional help if needed, though I do recommend this book for a good read. Definitely worth checking out as I think this book holds some powerful coping skills that I found useful for my healing journey as well 💕 As a psychiatric registered nurse, I also found the coping skills and exercises on here useful in my practice.
