🍙There’s a new musubi and handroll spot in Honolulu. 📍Gohan just grand opened (it’s located on South King Street next to Easy Music Center). It’s known for its made to order musubis and hand rolls. Both dine-in and takeout are available (there’s an express corner for takeout). 🍙Musubi are made with Tsuyahime rice from Yamagata prefecture and high-quality Ariake nori. 🐽This is one of my favorite katsu spots on Oahu. 📍Located in @Pearlridge Center, Koromo Katsu & Curry Bistro offers panko-crusted katsu teishoku and savory curry options. Popular dishes include the pork loin katsu teishoku — premium Sakura pork loin fried to a golden brown and served with tonkatsu sauce or oroshi ponzu — and pork fillet katsu teishoku. The latter features premium Duroc tenderloin pork. All teishoku items come with thinly sliced cabbage, kimchi, tsukemono, seasonal miso soup, and your choice of white or brown rice. Crush the sesame seeds and pair with mild or tangy katsu sauce for dipping. My fave is the ebi fry and chicken katsu teishoku. The black tiger shrimp are large and perfectly crispy.
