As a professional catsitter, the number of times I’ve found mold in my clients cat water fountains and immediately dismantled them and cleaned them (and also gently told their parents about getting a new cat water fountain) is too many go count. Those disgusting pics are taken by me. This is the ONLY water fountain I’ll recommend. And then of course I tell them to put out a regular bowl of water too in case of any outages. (And also to leave the toilet seat up *just in case*). Dehydration can kill your cat quickly. Please wash your fountain once a week minimum and wash all parts.
