HEALTHY SHEPHERDS PIE 🥧 Here’s my quick and easy, high protein low(er) calorie Shepard pie. Or cottage pie. Or whatever you call it with ground turkey lol. 😝 this was approved by the whole family and I wish I would have doubled it for leftovers honestly 😅 RECIPE: sauté 1 onion and 1 lb of lean meat of choice. Once about half cooked add 2 tbsp of tomato paste, 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tbsp of flour. Cook for a few mins. Add 1/3 cup of bone broth, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Mix in 1 cup or frozen vegetables. In a separate bowl combine three mashed Yukon gold potatoes, 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup of fairlife milk, 2 tbsp of butter and seasonings of choice. Add the mashed potatoes on the meat mixture, making grooves and sprinkle cheese. RECIPE: grab your favorite premade roll dough (I love the frozen Rhodes Rolls) and prepare as instructed on the package. 30 mins before baking add a frozen meatball to the top. I have a great homemade freezer meatball recipe my page I used. Top with your favorite marinara sauce and cheese. Bake for 15-20 mins or until your roll is cooked and meatball is heated through. Combine 3 tbsp of butter, 1 clove of minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
