Stop asking me how many calories you need to lose weight! You know how to lose weight, you've been doing that for years. And less be real here. When I tell you how many calories you should be eating to lose weight, you lose your mind and say it'll never work because your last diet had you doing 1,000 calories a day. And that's the problem here. Your expectations aren't realistic and the approach you take isn't sustainable. You try to stick with a calorie goal but you can't because you eat your feelings every night. You can't stick to your calorie goal because you let one bad day throw youboff course and you fucking quit. You can't stick to your calories because you are riddled with stress and anxiety and don't know how to manage that other than soothing yourself with food. For those that have been around for a while, you know I’ve had my ups and my downs. I started this Instagram account for accountability, and it worked for a while.. but then guess what? I lost weight and gained it right back. I know we have all been there. So let’s talk about it. In January of 2023, I said enough. It’s not about how I look, it’s not about the hat the scale says. It’s about how I feel. It’s about living a really long time and having a great quality of life. It was time for me to change my approach. I started reading and listening to podcasts about health and exercise. Specifically related to pre-menopausal women, and I started to incorporate life long changes into my daily routine. Slowly. VERY slowly. - Changed how I eat - Incorporates fasting - Established foundational morning and night routines - Started hot yoga - Started weight training - Introduced Cold plunging 🥶 1 year later I am down 65lbs and the ONLY reason I am talking about it is because I think I have finally broken my very toxic cycle of all in or all out dieting. For the first time I have established a lifestyle I can maintain for the rest of my life, a lifestyle that makes me want to be better every day. The more I live this new life, the better I feel.
